Frilford Heath

Capturing the English Open at a beautiful golf club

Frilford Heath Golf Club is one of the UK’s most prestigious golf courses, with 54 holes across three impeccable courses. Founded in 1908, the course has had the privilege of hosting PGA Tour Qualifiers and is even the home course of Eddie Pepperell.

Hosting the English Open is a major privilege and with Frilford Heath holding the honour, they wanted to mark the event by capturing footage from across the competition.

We were tasked to shoot and capture photos and videos that could be used across multiple digital platforms including their social media channels and website.

Shooting content on a golf course isn’t easy, with such precision and skill in the game, we were aware that remaining undetected to the players was vital.

This meant we needed to plan all of the shots to the finest detail, not only to get the correct footage but make sure not to hinder play.

We were aware that a lot of the content shot would need to be used on social media, making us mindful to shoot in portrait, as well as landscape. Doing this meant we were able to provide videos and images that could be used on Frilford Heath’s Instagram story.

After a long day of shooting and finding creative ways to remain hidden, the ads creative solutions team managed to execute a successful shoot on what was a historic day at Frilford Heath Golf Club. Take a look at a selection of the best shots below.
