MS Society
Creating an engaging social animation promoting skydive fundraisers
About the MS Society
The MS Society is a charity dedicated to supporting people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). Their primary goal is to find treatments for MS and create a world free from its effects. They also aim to ensure that no one faces MS alone and to support people living with the condition.
The organisation funds research, provides information and support, they also campaign for better services and rights for people with MS.
Our brief
The MS Society were looking for engaging content that would help raise awareness of their exhilarating skydive fundraiser across digital platforms. The purpose of the content was to encourage the general public to participate in and fundraise for the worthy cause.
The MS Society team asked for a glow-up to their previous animation work, with the new brief requiring a skydiver going in a plane, then parachuting out.
What we did
The first task was to create a vector-style artwork of the skydiving character that was to be signed off by the MS Society team before animation work commenced. Once reviewed and given the green light, the ads team began storyboarding.
During storyboarding, we decided to split the animation into three key sections that allowed us to share the information in bite-sized chunks. The character was sketched out roughly on paper and quickly iterated in Adobe Illustrator, with all animation work completed in Adobe After Effects.
The final touches were then put into place, and we sent the animation across for approval. Once sign-off was given, we began to see the MS Society team roll the content out on their social feeds.
