We were thrilled to be approached by I&G to document the construction of a truly inspiring project in collaboration with Timber Innovations. Together, they are working on the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, a facility designed to provide a calm, supportive, and peaceful environment for patients. Scheduled to open in Summer 2025, this centre promises to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
The construction process stands out for its use of innovative off-site manufacturing techniques. We were invited to capture a key stage of the build at Timber Innovations’ facility in Redditch, where the team is expertly crafting the timber frames and wall panels that will form the heart of the new centre. This modern approach to construction not only ensures faster build times but also champions sustainability; the wood used by Timber Innovations is responsibly sourced from Scandinavian forests, aligning with eco-friendly principles.
The opportunity to film the process was both fascinating and humbling. Watching the skilled team at Timber Innovations work with such precision and dedication brought the project to life. From the intricate design of the timber frames to the seamless coordination required to bring it all together, it was clear just how much expertise and effort go into each stage.
We’re proud to have captured the hard work behind this project.
