Derwent House

Derwent House is the ideal one-stop-shop for the finest interiors to bring the finishing touches to your home. The idea, sparked by the passion of three close friends, is to collaborate together to source and curate a collection of British handcrafted furniture and homewares for those design-conscious customers who wish to find something that’s unique.

our brief

Before the grand opening, Derwent House wanted to draw attention to their potential audience, who may have previously been Wesley-Barrell customers, by inviting them into the store to view, try and touch some of the carefully curated range of products. Adding to this, they also wanted to run Facebook and Instagram adverts to encourage people to follow them on social media and sign up to their newsletter via the website.


what we did

To help deliver on their brief, ads creative solutions proceeded to create an image and design-led 4-page mailer. The piece showcased a selection of the products Derwent House had to offer using their branding guidelines and beautiful imagery. The vibrant colours helped express the uniqueness of each item as well as portray the company’s ethos.

In order to generate new leads and expand on their current database, we put together a paid advertising campaign on Facebook and Instagram. Narrowing down their target audience was a fundamental part of ensuring the best return on investment, this allowed us to put the adverts in front of those who would potentially be interested and take action. Each ad was created within Derwent House’s branding, this meant the audience could learn who the company are and start that relationship and build brand awareness.

the results

As a retailer of high quality British handcrafted furniture and homewares the look and feel of our customer communications is highly important.  We approached ads creative solutions with a brief to create an inspiring, design-led direct mail piece to attract prospective customers looking for luxury interior products to our store. Ruth interpreted the brand guidelines and the brief perfectly to create a design that was inspiring and inviting. We are thrilled with the result and Nikki’s advice and efficiency in providing costs for design, paper and print means we are able to send out the mailer to our customers much sooner than expected.
